How does it work

Do the Great British Rainbow Active Series how you want to do it – this is your activity, done your way, and your achievement.

 

Choose your activity

Cycle, run or walk solo, with a buddy, family, friends and / or enter as a team e.g. work colleagues, school or college friends.

Take part wherever you are in the world either outdoors or use an indoor bike/turbo trainer or treadmill – choose your own routes, apps etc.

How do I decide whether to cycle, run or walk?

If you fancy getting that old bicycle out of the shed and joining the thousands of others taking up cycling then do it the Rainbow Cycling way! Or if you’re a regular cyclist then this is the one for you.

If you do Parkrun, or want to do ‘Couch to 5k’ but do it your way, or simply get out there with the family, then do it the Rainbow Running way! Or if you’re already a regular runner then this is the one for you.

If you’re just starting out, with family or friends, then do it the Rainbow Walking way! Or if you’re a regular walker already then this is the one for you, whether it is hiking long distance or stretching the legs around your local park.

If you’re really not sure which option to go for, then why not do a combination of all three? Mix it up and do different things on different days.

Choose your distance

Choose the distance you want to achieve each month, from 2km up to 2000km (or miles if you prefer).

Alternatively challenge yourself to cover the distance to our featured location each month – one of ACES Europe’s (Capitals and Cities of Sport Federation)  2021 award winners.

Track your own progress your way, then send us evidence of your completed monthly distance.

Fundraise for the NHS

Make a donation to your local NHS hospital through the entry process hassle free, choose to make an additional donation, fundraise or just enter the series and pay the entry fee.
